The Assets function lets you define Assets, which define items and machines that are equipped with one or multiple Treon Connect sensors.

Assets for data collection enable you to acquire and manage data from assets using Treon measurement points, third-party devices, or OEMs to enhance operational visibility.

Log in to your Treon Connect account.

From the main menu, click the Assets app icon.

Choose the Asset Type or create a new one. The type of the asset can be defined freely. When defining a new Asset Type that is not yet in the pull-down list, type the new Asset Type into the field and then immediately select it from the pull-down list.

Choose the Group or sub-Group this asset should belong to.

Add the Asset Location to describe the geographical or relative location. The Installation Position of the device on the asset can be defined freely.

You can assign a picture to the asset through Select Image. The file type of the image can be png, jpg, jfif, jpg or jpeg.

An overview picture of the Asset that establishes its location and helps identify it to personel at location is recommended.

After an Asset has been created successfully, sensors can be commissioned and attached to this Asset. See our article on Commissioning Sensors.

When the device is powered on and provisioned, it starts automatically to measure and transmit data.

The Treon Industrial Sensor C uses wireless Bluetooth connectivity to transmit sensor values to a gateway. The data is sent via the gateway to the Treon Connect cloud backend, for analysis or delivery to other systems.

Commissioning a sensor attaches it to an asset in your Treon Connect instance.

For commissioning a sensor you need an NFC-capable smart phone and the Treon Connect app, and you need to be in close proximity to the sensors you want to commission.

Step 1: Turn on NFC on your phone

To enable NFC on an Android device, go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > NFC, then toggle the switch to On. Once activated, the device can exchange data with other NFC-enabled devices or tags when they are nearby.

Step 2: Start Treon App

To start the Treon App, simply tap its icon from your Android device’s home screen or app drawer.

<!-- Customer will be able to create their own classifications templates. Templates will be device specific. there can be multiple templates against same type of device. And just for your knowledge, the same type of templates can be created for device related KPIs, for example, customer can set rule that when device goes offline or get rebooted or some RSSI goes below range, they can still get system events based on those rules.
Basically 2 types of templates will be there.
Asset based templated for condition monitoring users
Device based templates for infrastructure related people
