Introduction In Module 1 of our Treon Connect training we show how to set up your Treon Connect instance so you can see your data coming in:
Step 1 Getting Started: Activate your Treon Gateway and Treon Industrial Nodes
The following diagram shows the basic workflow of Treon Connect:
Treon Sensors capture temperature and vibration data from the equipment (the Assets) and transmit it to the Treon Gateway.
The Treon Gateway sends this data to the Treon Connect backend via its internet connection.
Introduction The Assets function lets you define Assets, which define items and machines that are equipped with one or multiple Treon Connect sensors.
Assets for data collection enable you to acquire and manage data from assets using Treon measurement points, third-party devices, or OEMs to enhance operational visibility.
Your Treon Connect application is structured in the following way:
TREON CONNECT → GROUP → ASSET → SENSOR → POSITION
The following table explains the Treon Connect concepts and terminology you need to know to get started with Treon Connect:
The Treon Industrial Sensor C is a wireless battery- operated sensor device for collecting condition monitoring data of industrial equipment.
When the device is powered on and provisioned, it starts automatically to measure and transmit data.
The Treon Industrial Sensor C is mounted on monitored equipment by gluing it.
Sensor location It is important to consider the location of the sensor and the contact between the sensor and the equipment, when mounting it to monitored equipment.
Network connection For your Treon Gateway to be able to transmit data to your Treon Connect platform, the gateway needs to be connected to the internet.
The Treon Gateway supports the following methods for establishing an internet connection:
The Treon Connect Condition Monitoring app allows you to set up warning and alerts to warn you in case specific pre-defined conditions are met. This can be used for condition monitoring to e.
The Treon Connect Events app gives an overview of all warning and alerts. You can also see the events in the Condition app in the Trends (KPI) data timeline when the feature has been activated.
